Em particular, o grupo de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o pretende compreender como o c\u00e9rebro e o comportamento podem ser moldados pelo ambiente social e como evolu\u00edram os mecanismos cognitivos, neurais e gen\u00e9ticos subjacentes \u00e0 plasticidade na express\u00e3o do comportamento social.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">T\u00f3picos de quest\u00f5es de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o actuais:<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Evolu\u00e7\u00e3o da cogni\u00e7\u00e3o social e dos seus mecanismos neuromoleculares<\/strong> &#8211; o nosso objetivo \u00e9 compreender se a cogni\u00e7\u00e3o social \u00e9 uma carater\u00edstica de desempenho do organismo que tem impacto na aptid\u00e3o darwiniana e que pode estar sujeita a sele\u00e7\u00e3o;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mecanismos gen\u00f3micos e epigen\u00f3micos do comportamento social<\/strong> &#8211; procuramos compreender como o mesmo genoma pode produzir fen\u00f3tipos sociais diferentes em resposta a sinais sociais fundamentais no ambiente;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Neuroendocrinologia do comportamento social<\/strong> &#8211; o nosso objetivo \u00e9 compreender o papel das hormonas e dos neuropept\u00eddeos (oxitocina\/vasotocina) como neuromoduladores envolvidos na plasticidade do comportamento social;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cogni\u00e7\u00e3o e bem-estar dos peixes<\/strong> &#8211;
