O grupo de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o combina trabalho te\u00f3rico e emp\u00edrico com o objetivo de compreender melhor as principais for\u00e7as que moldam a varia\u00e7\u00e3o nas popula\u00e7\u00f5es bacterianas.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Os projectos actuais e futuros da equipa de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o incluem:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Estuda o processo de adapta\u00e7\u00e3o no contexto dos ecossistemas, especificamente o intestino dos mam\u00edferos, em condi\u00e7\u00f5es de sa\u00fade e de doen\u00e7a.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Testa modelos te\u00f3ricos de evolu\u00e7\u00e3o adaptativa contra dados genot\u00edpicos e fenot\u00edpicos obtidos em popula\u00e7\u00f5es bacterianas experimentalmente adaptadas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Determinar o custo da resist\u00eancia aos antibi\u00f3ticos e o n\u00edvel de interac\u00e7\u00f5es epist\u00e1ticas na aptid\u00e3o entre muta\u00e7\u00f5es resistentes e os mecanismos subjacentes que causam essa
