As part of GIMM’s Pink October program, we are pleased to announce the workshop ‘Triple-Negative Breast Cancer | What is New | What Comes Next’, taking place on 23 October 2026 at the Fundação GIMM Oeiras Site.
Triple-negative breast cancer is one of the most aggressive subtypes of breast cancer and remains particularly challenging to treat. For many years, chemotherapy was the main therapeutic option, largely due to the absence of the receptors commonly targeted in other breast cancer subtypes.
In recent years, however, the clinical management of triple-negative breast cancer has undergone significant developments, with the emergence of new therapeutic protocols, innovative treatment strategies and increasingly sophisticated preclinical models.
This workshop will bring together clinicians, researchers, healthcare professionals and industry representatives to discuss the latest advances in triple-negative breast cancer research and treatment. The programme will combine clinical and scientific perspectives, offering a space to exchange knowledge, share ideas and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about:
- recent developments in clinical practice and therapeutic protocols;
- innovative and emerging treatment strategies;
- cutting-edge translational research;
- new preclinical models for studying triple-negative breast cancer.
The workshop will take place in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend in person at the GIMM Oeiras Site or follow the sessions online.
Participation is free of charge, but registration is mandatory for both in-person and online attendance.
Call for abstracts
Early-career researchers and other in-person participants are also invited to submit an abstract. All submissions will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee, and the authors of the selected abstracts will be invited to present their work during the workshop.
