GIMM Postdoctoral Training Program is designed to attract and nurture highly motivated and skilled scientists. Postdocs at GIMM are empowered to pursue original discovery-driven scientific questions in the life sciences, propelled by cutting-edge technology, in a cross-disciplinary, inclusive and collaborative environment.
The program supports Postdocs on their way to becoming successful, independent professionals. This training includes research in one or more GIMM labs and opportunities for professional development, conceived to help our postdoctoral scientists to advance in their careers and prepare for their next steps.
To foster the development of its Postdoctoral community, the Training Program includes:
- Meetings / Retreats for scientific discussions and sharing of experiences.
- Scientific and professional development workshops (topics include grant writing, science communication and others).
- Career development seminars, focusing on opportunities in Academia and beyond.
- Mentorship scheme, connecting the postdoctoral scientists with more senior researchers, with whom she/he/they can discuss science and career moves.
- Regular informal events aimed at community building.
