GIMM CARE has opened the 2026 call for Flagship R&I Project Grants, supporting ambitious clinical and translational research projects that bring healthcare professionals and researchers together to address relevant healthcare challenges.
Each selected project may receive up to €200,000 in funding, for an implementation period of 24 to 30 months. Applications should be submitted by projects co-led by a practising clinician (MD) and a PhD researcher, or led by an MD-PhD.
The call is open to teams of clinicians and researchers from any institution and aims to foster new collaborations with GIMM, supporting projects across GIMM CARE’s strategic mission areas and helping transform healthcare challenges into impactful solutions.
Applications are open until 31 October 2026. Results are expected to be communicated in December 2026, with project start dates to be agreed with the selected teams.
