This 3 day pilot practical workshop was designed to provide training for bioimaging facility core staff and imaging enthusiasts responsible for training facility users and/or maintain microscopy instrumentation. The workshop will be mainly practical with bare minimum concepts in the beginning of each session, where participants will learn how to disassemble and reassemble the major components of compound microscopes, how they operate, including illumination and light detectors used in microscopy, non diffraction-limited imaging, clearing and expansion microscopy, photomanipulation among other topics. There will be sessions also choosing the right tools for bioimage data processing and analysis, instrumentation quality control, best practices and facility management.
Quite a lot packed in only 3 days, so full attendance is required, and you need to be able to attend the classes at GIMM (Oeiras site).
Limited to 16 participants
Deadline for registration: 8th September
