The GIMM – Gulbenkian Institute for Molecular Medicine is a pioneering Portuguese private research foundation with an ambitious vision for fundamental scientific exploration and its profound impact on global health and well-being. What GIMM seeks: A Clinical Study Coordinator to join the Advanced Breast Cancer Translational Laboratory (ADBCancer Lab), led by Dr. Karine Serre in close collaboration with Professor Luis Costa (Head of the Oncology Department at Hospital de Santa Maria).
The ADBCancer Lab is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, independent, and compassionate individual to join our team as a Clinical Research Coordinator. He/she will serve as the point of contact for oncologists, surgeons, nurses, researchers, biobanks, and patients, and will be responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and conducting the collection of informed consents, clinical data, and breast cancer samples (tumor and liquid biopsies). This is a specialized role in clinical research that involves working with and under the supervision of clinicians and researchers to ensure that all samples are collected under optimal conditions and that all quality control checks are positively verified. This position is based in Lisbon, primarily at GIMM and Hospital de Santa Maria, but will require moderate local travel within the Lisbon area, and a great deal of flexibility to establish strong connections with other hospitals, such as CUF, LUZ, Champalimaud, and IPO Lisboa. A successful candidate will be eager and willing to work both in a diverse team and independently. It is essential that the candidate is passionate about GIMM’s mission to bring hope to women diagnosed with breast cancer.
At this moment, GIMM is looking for a Clinical Study Coordinator to join the Advanced Breast Cancer Translational Laboratory (ADBCancer Lab) coordinated by Dr Karine Serre and Professor Sérgio Dias in close collaboration with Professor Luis Costa (Head of the Oncology department of Hospital de Santa Maria, to execute the following activities:

What GIMM offers: GIMM offers an outstanding working conditions including a full time and unfixed-term employment contract predicted to start in June 2025 for the necessary period to execute the work plan. Gross monthly salary of 1.200,oo€ in accordance with the project budget and internal regulations as well as Holidays and Christmas allowances subject to the current mandatory taxes accordingly to Portuguese Labor Law. A meal allowance will also be paid in the amount of 7,80€ per each working day.

Results: Both admitted and excluded candidates list and final classification list shall be communicated to all admitted candidates through email.
Preliminary Hearing and Final Decision Deadline: After notification, all candidates have 10 working days to respond. Panel’s final decisions are pronounced within a period of 90 days, from application deadline.
