On May 9, 2025, sports and philanthropy come together in a unique event: the Charity Golf Tournament and Fundraising Dinner, with all proceeds supporting breast cancer research conducted at the GIMM Foundation – Gulbenkian Institute for Molecular Medicine.
Scientific research saves lives and each discovery represents a step forward in the development of new treatments and in improving the quality of life for the 9,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer each year in Portugal. However, science needs support, and this is where we can all make a difference.
This event invites golf enthusiasts, patrons and gastronomy lovers to unite for a greater cause. The tournament will begin at 10:00 AM, and after a day of competition and camaraderie, participants will be welcomed with an evening cocktail, followed by an exclusive Cocktail Dînatoire dinner, where prizes will be awarded, fundraising will take place and many more surprises await.
The dinner will be a memorable experience, crafted by the renowned Chef Sergi Arola, a Michelin-starred chef. More than just a celebration, this moment will be an opportunity to highlight the impact of scientific research and the vital role of societal support in advancing medicine.
Participants can choose between the Golf Tournament & Dinner Package (€125 per person) or the Dinner-Only option (€55 per person), with the same conditions applying to accompanying guests.
Beyond the tournament and dinner, the event will also feature silent auctions, competitive challenges and prizes for the winners, along with goodie bags, practice balls, green-fee, and buggy included.
Registrations are open until May 1, 2025, and can be completed here. This is a unique opportunity to turn a day of sport and socializing into a meaningful contribution to the future of medical research.
