GIMM and Champalimaud Foundations receive almost 200 students from underserved schools

This week, the GIMM Foundation entrance at the Lisbon site and the Champalimaud Foundation Exhibition Centre were transformed into two Big, Open, Diverse and Inclusive Labs, where we hosted almost 200 students from two underserved schools, in the context of the mentoring program, Ciência di Noz Manera (CNM).

CNM is a long-term (~6 months) program that brings science and scientists closer to 8th graders from “TEIP schools”, located in priority educational intervention areas as identified by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation, that aims at fostering scientific curiosity and empowerment in these communities.

This was only possible due to the participation of more than 60 researchers from both institutions, who volunteered to showcase what we do.
