From January 27 to 30, the Physical Biology Circle Meeting 2025 took place at the Gulbenkian Institute for Molecular Medicine, Oeiras site, organized by Pablo Sartori, bringing together 75 participants from leading European institutions in the field of biophysics. This annual conference is dedicated to fostering collaboration among early-career researchers, including PhD students and postdocs, who contribute to the rapidly evolving field of biological physics.
Known for its engaging discussions and dynamic atmosphere, the event featured a series of contributed talks selected from submitted abstracts, showcasing cutting-edge experimental and theoretical research. Topics covered ranged from cell biophysics and tissue mechanics to bioenergetics, the physics of DNA, active matter, and cell signaling.
The Physical Biology Circle Meeting continues to be a key platform for young researchers to present their work, exchange ideas, and build networks within the European biophysics community.
