Yesterday, the GIMM Foundation celebrated its official launch with an extraordinary event at Lux Frágil in Lisbon, bringing together the scientific community, civil society, and members of the Portuguese government, including the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, Fernando Alexandre.
The evening began with a warm Welcome Drink, setting the tone for a night dedicated to exploring the intersection of science, innovation, and creativity. Maria Manuel Mota, CEO of the GIMM Foundation, opened the event by presenting the Foundation’s vision and mission as a groundbreaking initiative merging fundamental and applied research. The presentation, titled “Ciência e Inovação além Fronteiras”, highlighted GIMM’s aspirations to lead transdisciplinary research and drive innovative healthcare solutions.
The audience was also treated to a captivating live performance that challenged the senses, followed by a celebratory cocktail that fostered connections within the community. The night culminated in a vibrant party themed “On the Verge of Discovery,” blending the spirit of celebration with the excitement of GIMM’s journey ahead.
This occasion marked the beginning of an exciting chapter for the GIMM Foundation, reinforcing its commitment to pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery while engaging with society at large.
