The provisional results of the 2023/2024 Evaluation of Research and Development Units (R&D) by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) were recently released, highlighting the GIMM Foundation with an Excellent rating and total funding of 14.7 million euros – the highest amount awarded among all the units evaluated.

This result reflects the GIMM Foundation’s ongoing commitment to scientific excellence and societal impact, consolidating its leading position on the national research landscape.

The FCT evaluation is conducted by panels of international evaluators, who analyse the scientific and technological activities of the R&D units, as well as their goals, strategies and activity plans for the 2025-2029 period.

The GIMM Foundation’s outstanding performance in this evaluation is testimony of the hard work and dedication of the entire team.
