October is the month when, globally, we come together to raise awareness about breast cancer, and GIMM aims to contribute to this awareness effort throughout the year. To achieve this goal, it is essential to highlight the importance of scientific research in the entire process, as it is the key to advancing solutions for this problem, which affects 1 in every 8 women in Portugal.

This year, we will hold the second edition of Semana da Mama, an event dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer.
From October 15 to 19, at the Alameda da Universidade in Lisbon, we will host an exhibition, talks, workshops, and collect samples for the Biobank, all centered around breast cancer awareness.
