GIMM is present at yet another edition of NOS Alive to give a stage to the best people in science, to share the excitement on the verge of discovery, and to, once again, award the NOS Alive scholarships, which have already changed the lives of 24 young researchers.

Who hasn’t had one of those overwhelming moments of vertigo that only happens when you’re on the verge of discovering something truly incredible? “On the Verge of Discovery” is the motto for the presence of GIMM at yet another edition of NOS Alive, focused on its commitment to science, excellence and innovation.

In this year’s edition, those who come to NOS Alive will not only be able to feel that vertigo, but will also have a range of games and activities on offer, run by our scientists, so that they can share the excitement of discovery with us. We’re going to challenge visitors to test their memory and motor skills and answer a few questions about science, which could lead to prizes. Our scientists will be there to share the thrilling moments when they felt the vertigo of discovery and to challenge visitors to leave their testimonies on our mural of the moments when they felt a similar vertigo.

Visitors will be able to meet two young NOS Alive scholarship holders, who will share their experiences first-hand. The unique partnership in Portugal between GIMM and Everything is New has already changed the lives of 24 young researchers by supporting the start of their scientific careers through these NOS Alive scholarships, which guarantee the integration of young graduates in one of GIMM’s laboratories for a period of 12 months.
